What does this site do?
the site operator runs Water Damage Houston Area as a free referral service that connects people with independent water damage restoration providers. Whatever agreement you reach with a provider is between you and them, and we are not a party to it.
What does this site not promise?
We do not guarantee that a provider will cover your area, arrive by a set time or accept your job. Which providers are answering calls decides what coverage exists.
Who are the providers?
Each provider is a separate business that we do not employ, supervise or control. We do not guarantee their work, prices, licenses, insurance or conduct. Verify those yourself before hiring, and get the scope and price in writing.
How should you use the guides?
The guides offer general information about water damage and restoration, not professional, legal or insurance advice. Where they differ from instructions given by emergency services, a utility, your insurer or the professional inspecting your property, follow those instructions.
What about emergencies?
Call 911 or your utility company first if life, fire, gas or electricity is at risk. This website is not a substitute for that call.
Who is liable for losses?
As far as the law permits, the site operator is not liable for loss or damage that comes from using this site or from work done by a provider you hire through it.
How do these terms change, and which law applies?
We may revise these terms, and the date at the top will change when we do. The laws of the State of Texas govern them.
Who can answer questions?
Send questions about these terms to the contact details on our contact page.
